You might be surprised to find out this gym was never a part of my plan, but it was 100% His plan. It all started with a phone call from a local hockey coach and that inevitable question, “Do you mind doing me a favor?” Fast forward to a full-time college student and storage facility manager waking up at 4am to drive across town, pick up a 13-year-old youth hockey player, and squeeze in training sessions to help him recover from a double knee surgery. I took a risk, dedicated it all, and never questioned the process, fully trusting the reason for a greater purpose.

Before I knew it, this favor had grown to training entire hockey teams, creating an LLC out of my nickname “Jack City”, adding more coaches and trainers to the team, and ultimately gaining so many clients we were busting at the seams of our original 1200 square foot private training studio. This great problem resulted in the beautiful transformation of what was once an old warehouse turned innovative 12,000 square foot training facility. And just as hard work, determination, and teamwork built this home for our expanding Jack City Family, our experienced and caring coaches can transform your life just the same.

We’re striving to attain the highest level of results for not only the athletic professional, but also the average joe. Our team takes all the proper steps to help people, not focusing on their pocket book, but rather what will really help increase the quality of their lives. This ultimate vision of helping people was only accomplished by also founding the Partnership, which includes every service needed to reach desired results.

Why “No Memberships”?

Most gyms offer memberships, but Jack City Fitness isn’t just any old health club. We’ve heard way too many tales of potential athletes signing up for a membership, getting off track, and abandoning their fitness routine altogether — while still paying a monthly bill. That makes us sad — especially because some gyms actually bank on this happening. Gross.

At Jack City, we strive to create positive and nourishing relationships with everybody who walks through our doors, not swindle anybody. That’s why we scrapped the idea of memberships altogether and instead refer to our clients as partners. After all, we’re in this together.

We plan to be there when the going gets tough, when you feel like quitting, or when you’ve lost motivation. Our accountability coaches constantly check in to make sure goals are being met, nutrition is on point, and measurements are being taken. We’ve got your back.

Do I have to be fit to fit in at Jack City Fitness?

Of course not — movement is for everybody! At Jack City, we have no time for snobbery. We work with everyone, from a workout newbie to athletic champs. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to build muscle, train your hardest, shed extra weight, improve your nutrition, or if you just want to try working with a personal trainer — if it’s about physical fitness, it’s possible at Jack City. We’ll work with you, at your pace, allowing you to blossom into the best athletic version of yourself.

What training philosophy does Jack City Fitness use?

If you were to take two identical twins and have them both train at Jack City with different coaches, they would be on completely different roads but they’d still end up with the same results. There are some principles of safety and specificity that always apply, but with our veteran coaches, there is no wrong way to train as long there is an openness and commitment to learning.

Do you have any referral benefits or package deals for families, etc.?

Do you have a pool or sauna?

Not yet — but if you’re looking for a similar workout to swimming laps you can find it with our total body, zero impact, rowers and versa climbers. Based on research, the caloric and metabolic effects from these two machines is greater than that of swimming. So if you’re wondering how to lose fat, increase mobility, and gain muscle, you can jump into our facility and get it all!
