Tim grew up in Meridian, Idaho and was very active and competitive from a young age. He played everything he could: baseball, basketball, golf, flag football and even a bowling league for a few years. Tim played Varsity baseball and basketball throughout high school. Even though he excelled more in baseball than basketball, he tried to play basketball in college and failed to make a team. That’s when he changed his focus and really started getting into weightlifting and performance. While volunteering at the Kuna Fire Department, he knew he wanted to help people with their fitness goals. He became certified in 2012 and started training at a commercial gym for a few years and then moved to a private studio in 2016.

Additionally, Tim coached basketball and baseball throughout the last five years as well. Now he proudly trains at Jack City Fitness. He enjoys working with overhead athletes and training to prevent injuries while developing strength and power; this translates to better on-field performance. Tim has a passion for coaching, training, and helping people set performance-based goals. Tim has trained and written individualized programs for a wide variety of people from beginners to advanced clients. He focuses on movement to obtain a balance, not overemphasizing or underemphasizing any muscle group. His clients’ goals consist of weight loss, general health, muscle building, and strength and power development for sports performance. As a trainer, he considers everyone’s injury history, fitness level, and goals in developing their program. He is a NASM certified personal trainer, performance enhancement specialist, corrective exercise specialist, and an IYCA strength & conditioning specialist.
